James Bradley

James Bradley
James Bradley – he was born in 1693 and died in 1762.

He was an astronomer, and  in 1742 the royal astronomer. The biggest discovery of Bradley was the observation aberration of light, the apparent motion of the stars in the sky resulting from the orbital motion of the earth. Confirmation of the existence of aberrations strengthened Copernican model of the solar system with a star in the center and circling around the Earth. Its main observatory was located in Greenwich. Most of the astronomer's observations were published after his death in 1798-1805. I chose him because he discovered 3222 stars !
